
it's a philosophy of life: keep it simple and do it well. it's as close as i think we can get to the zen moment. we don't strive to be anything more than the embodiment of an effort to take responsibility for ourselves, to make the very best we can of ourselves and to offer that to the world as our gift. at my florist cafe, we have tried to give a physical reality to that effort. our food is prepared with wholesomeness and nutrition in mind. we don't believe in overcomplicating the taste or the presentation, but rather we think it's important to only use the freshest and highest quality ingredients and to present them simply and in abundance. our kitchen is intentionally without a stove, deep fryer, sautee pans and such. by eliminating these things, we think we can achieve a healthier standard without all the grease and still provide our customers with an excellent dining experience. it's simple by design. we pledge to continue making every effort to do it well.
